It all started on Monday, when Sonu Nigam took to twitter to express his feelings about being woken up by the azaan, labelling it as ‘forced religiousness’.
God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India

Even though the singer was talking about the loudspeakers atop other religious places too, his reaction on twitter was misconstrued and got slammed on social media for speaking out against ‘azaans’.
However, the Bollywood playback singer also received support from a large group of people and justified his concerns. They could empathise with him and shared same sentiments.
